#DELL PHOTO AIO PRINTER 926 INK CARTRIDGES CODE#
Strangely I did (I never had an error code prior to installing the new ink cartridge.) So I read some online posts in this forum (same printer) and performed suggestions like: "Unplug the printer and remove back plug brick from back and wait one minute for error codes to reset then plug everything back in" so I tried this, but still get same error code. My printer still prints, but since the printer is recognizing an error there is a warning light that is on constantly and I need to press "cancel alignment " before I can print something (if I don't cancel allignment cue, the printer reads "busy" when first trying to print") So I had another idea, I would re-install the old ink cartridge to see if I would get the same error code. So I didn't know what else to do so I kept pressing the allignement button, but after each cycle I still got the same error. Anyway afterwards I still got the same error message which wouldn't go away.

I did this cleaning because I felt perhaps some of the adhesive residue from the tape might have coated the connections. So very carefully I took out a flashlight and some cotton swabs and wiped down all the ink cartridge connections on the ink cartridge itself and inside the printer where the cartridge sits. Just recently when I was changing my black cartridge I got an error message on the printer display indicating "tape still on cartridge or to run the allignment fix" I double and triple checked that there is no tape on the new cartridge, but after I installed it again the printer displayed same error message. In March of 2007 I bought a 926 all in one printer (photo) and never had any problems.
